Following the adoption of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the government received several comments on the benefits and drawbacks of the tax. The GST, or Products and Services Tax, is a value-added tax (VAT) that is levied at the national level on the manufacture, sale, and consumption of goods and services. It will be used to replace all indirect taxes levied by the Indian central and state governments on goods and services.
